I’m Marissa, an American living abroad in Spain.  I’ve been living in Madrid since 2013 with my Spanish husband.

I first experienced international travel at the age of 16, when I studied abroad in Japan for my junior year of high school.  I originally hoped to move back to Japan after completing my university degrees in Japanese Linguistics and Psychology, but it didn’t end up happening and a few years later I ended up in Spain wishing I had studied Spanish, too!

My husband and I take weekend trips in Spain about once a month and in Europe a few times a year.  Although he’s not as passionate about travel as I am, he tolerates my travel addiction quite well!

Follow along as I show you the lesser known sides of Spain: medieval villages frozen in time, olive groves and sunflower fields, and incredible food at every stop.
